Mr. Johnny Mack Cline, age 67, of 5535 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Adairsville, passed away early Friday morning (October 4, 2013) at Floyd Medical Center, Rome.
He was born in Floyd County, January 5, 1946, son of the late Lawrence Nathaniel and Jimmie Louise Adcock Cline. Mr. Cline was a member of the Adairsville Church of God and had worked in the textile industry. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid collector, collecting, among other items, guns and Civil War artifacts, and especially cherished spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Cline of Acworth.
Survivors include his daughter Paula Smith of Adairsville; two grandsons, Aaron Smith and Dawson Smith, both of Adairsville; three brothers, Gary (Brenda) Cline of Adairsville, Herman Cline of Adairsville, and Ben (Jean) Cline of Calhoun; two sisters, Kathy (Hank) Tanner of Acworth, and Pam (Ronnie) Everett of Adairsville; several nieces and nephews also survive,
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, at 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Ed Pasley and Rev. Steve Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery, in the Folsom Community of Adairsville.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Smith, Dawson Smith, Josh Everett, Cameron Cline, Chris Edwards, and Dusty Edwards. Honorary pallbearers include Ethan Belcher, Dustin VanDyke, Bo Edwards and Ronnie Pope. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
