Mrs. Alawee G. Wilson, age 83, of Hall Station Road, Adairsville, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2016 at Gordon Hospital.
She was born in Floyd County, November 10, 1932. She cherished her family and all the memories they made. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed working in the bakery department at Ingles, doing crossword puzzles, and going shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Norman Troy Wilson, Sr.; sons, Joseph Huggins and Timothy Huggins; stepson, Lamar Wilson grandchildren, Jody Huggins and Jennifer Wilson.
Survivors include her loving son and daughter-in-law, Norman Troy Wilson, Jr. and Kay Wilson of Adairsville; stepchildren, Kenny Wilson, Danny Wilson, Lanny Wilson, Brenda Byrd, Larry Wilson, Sr., Pat Whitfield, and Judy Haney; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson Yarbrough, Cody Hammonds, Autumn Barton Stokes, Sonja Silvers, Marissa Huggins, Rhonda Babb, Keisha Vogues, Tyler Haney, Kelly Wilson Parker, Christy Wilson Simpson, Cindy Wilson Brent, Stacey Leigh, Larry Wilson, Jr; Anthony Jackson, Glenn Wilson, Jr., Sabrina Wilson, Josh Wilson, Chrystal Wilson Hiles, Kimberlee Redwine, and Tracy Jackson; 40 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Pastor Ken Coomer officiating. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville at a later date.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
