Mr. Albert "Earl" Dutton, age 89, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Monday January 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Dutton was born in Gordon County, GA, April 8, 1933, son of the late Marion Dutton and Fannie Hayes Dutton. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Dutton was a veteran of the United States Army and member of the American Legion Post 245. Earl worked and retired from many places: Mannington formerly known as Wellco, Gordon County School System, Georgia Department of Transportation, and Adairsville Police Department. His favorite job was mowing grass, cutting wood, and working in his garden, especially tomatoes. He had a great sense of humor and was always helping others. Earl was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by all. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Danita Dutton Shinall "Dinky"; granddaughter, Whitney Rebecca Shinall; sisters, Floy Ray and Evie Watson; brothers, Junior Dutton, J.B. Dutton, and Pat Dutton.

Survivors include his loving wife of  67 years, Mary El Dutton; sons, Rocky and Tonna Dutton, Kevin and Lisa Dutton, and Steve Dutton; daughter, Karen Dutton; son-in-law, Gary Shinall grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Kevin), Mary Fran Ellis (Drew), Sara Strickland (Tommy), Noah Dutton, and Cain Dutton; great-grandchildren, Anslee and Bryson Williams, Emmeric, Kayson, Brayden, Wyatt, and Branley Strickland; brother Max Dutton; special nieces, Earlene Dutton; special nephews, Alan Towe and Mark Womack; several n ieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Reverends Larry Hibberts, Gregg Free, and Andrew Hight officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Noah Dutton, Cain Dutton, Kent Womack, Gary Dutton, Terry Edwards, and Scotty Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Williams, Billy Womack, Byron Womack and special friends, Charlie and Diane Allen.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Albert Earl Dutton.
