Obituary
Mrs. Alberta Raper Saunders, age 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Adairsville, Georgia where she has lived with her niece and her husband: Wanda and Randy Shadix for the last several years. Mrs Saunders was formerly of Newport News, Virginia.
She was born in Lucama, NC, August 12, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Florence Parrish Raper. Mrs. Saunders was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar Allen Saunders, JR; brother, Charles, Roy, and William Raper; sisters, Dorothy Raper Jones and Lillian Raper Blackmon.
Survivors include her brother, J. B. Raper of Cincinnati, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mrs. Saunders wishes, the family will have a private service at a later date.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Alberta Raper Saunders.
