Mrs. Barbara Eloise Harp, 82, of Adairsville passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence.
She was born September 26, 1934 in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Arthur Justin Wallace and Bertha Wood Wallace. She was a member of Creekside Fellowship in Cartersville. Mrs. Harp loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harp; sons, Larry and Ricky Harp; grandsons, Shane and John Harp; and brothers-in-law, Billy Johnson and Joe McWaters.
Survivors include her loving children, Kenny and Jenny Harp of Cartersville, Frank and Angela Harp of Cartersville, Jenny and Glenn Garland of Abilene, TX, Philip and Kim Harp of Adairsville, Peggy Harp of Jasper, and Billie Reisner of Plainville; Grandchildren, Michelle Harp of Dallas, Mona Harp of Dallas, Kambera ( Jared) Richardson of Jasper, Kaleb (Bridgett) Harp of Cartersville, Nicholas Harp of Cartersville, Savannah (Thomas) Ahrens of Fort Collins, CO, Dakota (Courtney) Harp of Cartersville, Grayson (Kimberly) Childers of Adairsville, Leah Harp, Macy Harp, Cara Harp, and Hunter Harp all of Adairsville; Great-Grandchildren, Destini, Anissa, Justin, Kyle, Tristin, Harmony, Liberty, and Serenity Harp, Knox and Kreed Richardson, Easton Ahrens, and Amily Childers; sisters, Jerry McWaters, Shirley Johnson, and Theresa (Charlie) Fednander; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens, Calhoun. Pallbearers include Kaleb Harp, Nicholas Harp, Dakota Harp, Grayson Childers, Tripp Johnson, and Tyler Fednander. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Harp.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
