Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Baggett Jarrett, 84, of Adairsville passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, December 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born in Adairsville, Georgia, April 9, 1939, daughter of the late Edd and Lucille Baggett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Wilton (Wick) A. Jarrett, Jr. and sisters, Betty Ingram Craig and Glenda Faye Fletcher. Barbara was a devout Christian and loved her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of the Adairsville United Methodist Church currently known as the Adairsville Church on the Square where she served on various committees and as a Sunday school teacher. Along with her husband Wick, she was an owner and operator of Jarrett Ace Hardware in Adairsville for twenty-seven years. Outside of helping with the store, she loved spending time with her family, traveling to the beach and mountains, gardening, cooking family dinners and spoiling her grandchildren. Barbara's love and kindness touched the lives of many, and her memory will live in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her daughters, Betsy Jarrett and Angie Hice and her husband Courtney; grandchildren, Kelsy Hice Smith and her husband Tristin, and Hunter Hice; great-granddaughter, Maevry Rose Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow in Eastview cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Adairsville Church on the Square.
