Mrs. Barbara Fowler Littlefield, 74, 23 Nicklaus Drive, Rome passed away Sunday (January 4, 2015) at Redmond Regional from complications of lung disease.


Mrs. Littlefield was born in Cartersville, June 17, 1940, daughter of the late Thomas David Fowler and Lena Jones Fowler. She was a member of Rome First United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked as an administrative assistance, Estee Lauder Sales associate, and owned and operated several upper scale consignment shops. While living in Rome she belonged to Three Rivers Garden Club and volunteered at Hospitality House Thrift Store. Mrs. Littlefield was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Woody and brothers, Harry Fowler and Ray Fowler.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years, Dr. Jerry Littlefield of Rome; children, Laura and Dr. Philip Aschi and John and Kathy Littlefield; grandchildren, Alexander Aschi, Christian Aschi, and Dane Littlefield; sisters, LeNelle Bland, Eva Jo Stepp, Mary Ferguson, Martha Hardigree; brother, Robert Fowler; brothers-in-law, Edwin Littlefield and Dr. Byron and Dana Littlefield; 35 nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Rome First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Rome First United Methodist Church.
