Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Towe Womack, age 84, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Emory University Hospital.
Mrs. Womack was born in Adairsville, GA, April 22, 1931, daughter of the late A.C. Towe and Selma Striplin Towe. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Womack was the owner operator of Womack's Chevron for many years. She enjoyed gardening, humming birds, traveling, and time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents and the fathers of her children, Walter Edwards and O.V. Womack.
She is survived by her sons Terry J. (Cindy) Edwards of Adairsville and Mark Womack of Atlanta; brother, Earl Towe of Adairsville; sister, Mary El (Earl) Dutton of Adairsville; grandsons, Zachary (Olivia) Edwards and Justin (Courtney) Edwards; great-granddaughters, Abilene Mae Edwards and Carmel Louise Edwards; aunt, Kitty (Lewis) Worley of Cartersville.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Ed Pasley and Rev. Gregg Free officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
