Mr s . Bertha Louise Chatmon Earwood , age 88 , of Adairsville, passed away Thurs day, June 17, 2021, at her residence.

Mr s . Earwood was born in Adairsville, Georgia, October 22, 1932 , daughter of the late William Bascom Chatm o n and Josie Rice Chatm o n . She attended Snow Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Earwood enjoyed crocheting and was a talented seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Willie Earwood; siblings, Clark Chatmon, Arvel Chatmon, Maurice Chatmon, Adel Chatmon, Mable Smith, Aileen Williams, Elease Nicholson, and Annie Mae Smith.

Survivors include h er son, Jackie and Anita Earwood; grandchildren, Jackson Earwood and Bryann Earwood; one great-grandchild; special nieces and nephews, Connie and Jeff Summey, Audrey Benefield, Philip and Lynn Smith, Delbert Chatmon, Karen and Jamey Coffman, Jason Chatmon, and several others survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 , at 1 : 30 PM at Eastview Cemetery, Rome . Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Satur day from 12 :00 PM until 1 :00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr s . Bertha Louise Chatmon Earwood .
