Mrs. Betty Jean Chesser Boswell, age 88, formerly of 6374 Highway 140 NW, Adairsville, GA, died Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living.

She was born in Atlanta, GA, November 19, 1924, daughter of the late Paul S. and Gertrude Crocker Chesser. She was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church where she was a charter member of the Lady's Circle. Mrs. Boswell enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden and working puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Richard Boswell; two brothers, McDonald "Mack" Chesser and Hubert Chesser.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Ricky" and Sharon Boswell of Adairsville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Roger Turner of Rome and Kathy and Terry Bunch of Calhoun;
7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Snow Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Grandsons, T. J. Bunch, Jarrod Bunch, Robbie Whitfield, Johnny Densmore, Trey Gulledge, and Judson Whitfield will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Barton Funeral Home.
