Mrs. Betty Jean Finley, age 64, of Patterson Lane, Adairsville passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Redmond Regional Hospital.

She was born in Adairsville, GA, on September 2, 1952, to the late Charlie Mack Harper and Elizabeth Reynolds Harper. A devout Christian, she was a member of Omega United Church of God in Christ for over 30 years. She served faithfully under Pastor Daisey Gardner and later Bishop Billy Harris. Mrs. Finley was the junior mother of the church for 20 years before becoming senior mother for 10 years. She loved worshiping the lord and cherished her time with family, especially her grandchildren. She worked at Horizon Carpet for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Harper, and sisters, Diane Aker and Mary Harper.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Finley, Jr.; children, Derrick Lamar Finley and wife, Jawan, Farrah Shuntae Finley, and Harold Finley, III; grandchildren, Jeremy Finley, Bria Nicole Finley, Raquel Koulesser, Shannon Kera Finley, Makayla Christiana Finley, Gabriel Charles Finley,and Chantelle Christina Finley; great-grandson, Mason Finley; siblings, Wanda Hill Hawkins, Geneva Wedgeworth, Anthony Harper, and Odessa Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Bishop Billy Harris officiating.   Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be JJ Curtis, Gregory Harris, Richard Harris, Erick McConnell, James Pullum, and Dwight Wilkey. Flower girls will be Barbara Owens, Genise Printup, Debbie Pullum, Pauline Reece, Tina Scott, and Marilyn Wilson.

The viewing will take place on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church.
