Mrs. Betty Sue King, age 69, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Monday morning, June 8, 2020.

She was born in Rome, Georgia, July 13, 1950, daughter of the late Hughdon Seab Byars and Nellie Marie McStotts Byars. Mrs. King was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Caney Byars, Charles Byars, and Hughdon Byars; and sisters, Shelba Burkhalter, Linda Shaw, and Barbara Spratling.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Tommy King; children, Michelle and Neal Lancaster, Tony and Jamie King, and Tim and Christy King; grandchildren, Breann and TJ Rich, Tyler Fletcher, Dusty King, and Peyton Lancaster; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Rich; brother, Dale and Ann Byars; sisters, Gail and Doug Walker, Gracie and Johnny Owens, Liz Johnson, and Juanita and J.W. White; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Byars officiating.

Following social distancing guidelines the family will receive family and friends Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
