Obituary

Mrs. Billie Ann Bagley Stewart, age 72, of 35 Buena Vista Circle, Cartersville, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011, at her residence.

She was born in Calhoun, GA, December 19, 1938, daughter of the late Alton Ferguson and Estress Baxter Bagley. Mrs. Stewart was of the Baptist Faith and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed growing flowers, embroidering and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jeanette Mealer.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Emory Milton Stewart of Cartersville; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Keith (Jamie Lynn) Black of Cartersville, Danny Ovell (Lori) McClure of Adairsville, and Michael Shane McClure of Adairsville; 2 daughters, Shelia Black (Harrison) Fowler of Rydal, and Shelly Renee McClure of Adairsville; 2 stepsons, Dennis Milton (Tara) Stewart of Virginia Beach, VA, and Darryl (Christy) Stewart of Cartersville; a stepdaughter, Paula (Rich) Studebaker of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Buddy (Darlene) Bagley of Adairsville; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and a nephew, Tommy Mealer of Helen, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Buddy Bagley officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Allen Head, Dustin McClure, Zachary Mohon, Gene Black, Tommy Mealer, SSG Rockey Crump, Jason Nolan, and Cary Ranow.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
