Mrs. Billie Sue "Virginia" Culpepper Smith, age 82, of Hall Station Road, Adairsville, passed away September 26, 2019 at the residence.

She was born in Delano, TN, February 13, 1937, daughter of the Leslie S. Culpepper and Mary Threlkeld Culpepper. Mrs. Smith was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church and past Sunday school teacher. In the past she enjoyed helping at the Bartow Community Center providing senior meals and helping with activities. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua David Cooper; sisters, Catherine Morgan, Alice Hall, and Helen Hinson; brothers, James Culpepper, Amos Culpepper, and Tommy Culpepper.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Frank Smith; children, Denise and Johnny Cooper, Mark and Donna Smith, Julia and Randy Pulliam, Greg and Kyle Smith, and Karen Parker; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Joslin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Wayne Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
