Mr. Billie Harold West, age 94, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Mr. West was born in Gordon County, Georgia July 15, 1930, son of the late Henry West and Lou Mealer West.  He was a member of Plainview Baptist Church and member of Adairsville Masonic Lodge #168. He was a retired machinist, an avid gardener, also roses and day lillies, but repairing and working on older tractors was his favorite hobby.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Bennett, and brothers, Max, Ralph, and Autrell West.

Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Ruby Gatlin West; daughters, Brenda Clement (George) and Ann Rawlins (Larry); brother and sisters, Frances Christian, Henry West, Jr, Martha Craig, Pat Bradford, and Sue Gentry; grandchildren, Jason Hammonds, Billy Hammonds, Melissa Couch, Brandy Cooper and Alex Clement. 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Plainview Baptist Church with Reverends Greg Rawlins and Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Plainview Baptist Church, 1587 Plainview Rd, SE, Adairsville, Ga 30103 on Friday, January 31, 2025  from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour.
