Mr. Billy Troy White, age 58, of Rydal, GA, passed away, June 3, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. White was born in Turtletown, TN, on November 13, 1954, son of Mary Boring Dodd and Charles White. Mr. White made a career in the field of construction, working several years with Athens-Atlanta Asphalt. To the ones that knew him well, he was perpetually happy, always encouraging those around him to have a "good time". He was outgoing and often times outspoken, rarely holding back what was on his mind. Mr. White, although his own youth belied his 58 years, was always willing to help those younger in need, and helped raise numerous children as if they were his own. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and cherished his old tractor and truck. He was preceded in death by a brother and a grandson.

He is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Chris White of Chattanooga, TN and Matt and Sam White of Rydal; a daughter, Casey Hilgemann of McCaysville; his mother, Mary Dodd of Red Bank, TN; his father, Charles White of Dalton; 4 grandchildren with his daughter-in-law expecting; 3 brothers, Doug White of Chatsworth, Jeff Dodd of Soddy-Daisy, TN and Eddie Dodd of Red Bank, TN; nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 PM until the service begins.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Billy White.
