Mr. Billy Franklin Wilkey, age 71, of Reynolds Bridge Road, Kingston, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2015.
He was born in Kingston, GA, December 29, 1943, son of the late Emmett Wilkey and Lillie Wilkey Jones. He was a member at Kingston Full Gospel Apostolic Church. An outdoorsman and mechanic, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his antique cars. Mr. Wilkey cherished his family especially his grandchildren. Mr. Wilkey was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Emmett Wilkey, Jr. and grandson, Christopher Mason Wilkey.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Elizabeth Wilkey; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Michelle Wilkey of Kingston and Chris and Tammy Wilkey of Cartersville; grandchildren, Dustin, Cameron, and Carsyn Wilkey, Kayla Wilson and Kayla Clemens; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. C.E. and Jeanette Wilkey and Earl and Linda Wilkey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. C.E. Wilkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dustin Wilkey, Tyler Clemens, Doug Wilkey, Nathan Wilkey, Mike Wilkey, and Tom Smith
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
