Mr. William Daniel Womack, known to everyone as “Billy”, age 85, of Adairsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Mr. Womack was born in Gordon County, GA, September 16, 1941, to the late Flonnie Mae Grogan Womack and Ralph Edward Womack. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Johnson Womack; sisters, Grace Dodd and Mary Kate King; brothers, Edward Womack and Otis Vaughnell “O.V.” Womack.

Survivors include his sons, Bruce Womack and David Womack and wife Misty; special friend, Betty Teague; grandchildren, Kayla Murphy and husband Tim, Chaise Womack, Emma Womack, and Ethan Womack; great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Isaac, and Will Murphy; brother, Byron Womack and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Billy was a lifelong and faithful member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church, where he was actively involved in many aspects of church life. He truly loved being at church and enjoyed every opportunity to spend time there with his church family. He faithfully participated in Meals in Motion, the Men’s Breakfast, the Senior Friend Group, and Brotherhood, and served on both the Budget and Building Committees. He cherished his church family and the many lasting friendships he formed throughout the years.

A home builder by trade, Billy took pride in his work. He also enjoyed tending to his cattle farm and looked forward to working in his garden each year. Some of his happiest moments were spent taking a ride on his Gator with his beloved dog, Nard, by his side. Billy enjoyed traveling and seeing new places, but no matter where his travels took him, he was always happy to return home. Above all, Billy treasured his family and took great pride in the role he held in their lives. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and the love he shared with them will be cherished always.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, from Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Michael Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Chaise Womack, Ethan Womack, Kent Womack, Monty Teague, Trent Morrow, and Greg Mitchell. Honorary pallbearer will be Isaac Murphy.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oothcalooga Building Fund in Billy’s honor.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. William Daniel Womack.
