Mrs. Bobbie Jo Wilson Brewer, age 92, of Marietta, passed away peacefully Monday evening, August 3, 2026.

Bobbie was born in Seneca, South Carolina, January 5, 1934 to the late Bennie Cora Cross Wilson and William Malon Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Garland Franklin Brewer, son, William Robert Brewer and brother, James Wilson.

Survivors include her beloved grandchildren, Samantha Burnett and husband Jason and Brendan Brewer and wife McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Mila, Jett, and Beau Burnett and Kasen and Everleigh Brewer; 2 nephews Lewis Wilson and William Wilson; dear cousins she grew up with in Richland, South Carolina, Betty Wilson, Paula Jean Alexander Thomson, Terry Lane Alexander and Jerri Sherrill Alexander Mitchell

Bobbie was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed a distinguished career with Lockheed Martin, where she worked as a dedicated accountant and hardworking employee for many years. Beyond her career, Bobbie lived a remarkable life of compassion, advocacy, and service to others. She was deeply involved with the American Cancer Society, serving in numerous volunteer and leadership capacities throughout the years. She was especially proud to have been the first female President of the American Cancer Society’s Georgia Division. Bobbie was also a member of the “Tomy Trio,” along with Betty Ragelis and Martha Reed, three women who shared their personal experiences with cancer while traveling and speaking on behalf of the American Cancer Society, bringing awareness, encouragement, and hope to those affected by cancer.

Her dedication to helping others extended far beyond the American Cancer Society. Bobbie was a devoted supporter and volunteer with the United Ostomy Associations of America and served as President of the United Ostomy Association, representing the United States and Canada, in addition to holding many other leadership positions within the organization. Her years of service and advocacy touched countless lives, and her commitment was recognized when she received the Sam Dubin Award, the Association’s highest service honor.

In her quieter moments, Bobbie found great happiness tending to her garden. She loved nurturing flowers and watching her garden grow, a reflection of the same kindness and care she so freely shared with those around her.

Bobbie will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments and extraordinary service to others, but for the generous heart, strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication she gave to every cause she embraced. Above all, she will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her life was one of purpose, service, and love, and the difference she made in the lives of others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Honoring Bobbie’s wish she will cremated and laid to rest with her husband at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, South Carolina at a later date.
