Mrs. Bobbie Jean Cobb, age 80, of Folsom-Glade Road, Adairsville, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Gordon Hospital.
She was born in Gordon County, January 15, 1936, daughter of the late Coley and Ama Lee Sutton Colston. She was of Christian faith. Although she was "bossy", she was the greatest wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed doing word searches, cooking for her family, working in her garden and canning. She was preceded in death by parents; daughters, Jennifer Hight and Delaney Gravitte.
Survivors include her husband Larry Cobb of Adairsville, daughter, Audrey and Greg Franklin of Rome; grandchildren Clint (Angela) Hight, Keri (Matt) Wright, Courtney (Jason) Miles, Ariel Gravitte, Beau Franklin, and Raquel Franklin; great-grandchildren, Luke Hight, Landry Wright, Aiden Puente and, Wesley Miles; sisters, Joy (Jack) Thacker and Rabun Helton; brothers, T.W. (Jean) Colston and Jerry (Mary) Colston; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Larry Hibberts and Rev. Barry Adcock officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Adcock, Jerry Gravitte, Clint Hight, Clinton Hight, Danny Mealer, Chris Pierce and Chris "Scooby" Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Franklin, Doyle Adcock, and Dearl Adcock.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home.
