Rev. Bobby G. Wesley, age 68, of Adairsville, GA, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center, Rome.

He was born in Adairsville, GA, on January 23, 1945, to Rev. S. A. Wesley and the late Linnie Mae Floyd Wesley. Rev. Wesley had retired from Lockheed Martin Aircraft with twenty-five years of service, had also worked with the Rome Police Department for over ten years and was a member of the Wesley Prayer Shelter congregation. Rev. Wesley loved music, was an avid collector of guns and guitars, and enjoyed camping on the river in Cherokee, NC, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Redd Wesley, to whom he was married on July 6, 1963; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rachel Wesley of Adairsville; his father, Rev. S. A. Wesley of Adairsville; 2 grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Hopson and Matthew Wesley, both of Adairsville; and a sister Patsy Willerson of Rome.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim Pinkard and Rev. Steve Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery in the Folsom Community, Adairsville.

Pallbearers include Anthony Gilreath, Justin Brumbelow, Terry Nations, Eli Nations, Avery Nations, and Chris Hopson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
