Byron "Cotton" Lindsey Green loving husband, Daddy, Pawpaw, and Big Pawpaw was reunited with our Lord on April 22, 2023.

Byron was a strong, gentle, giving, and kind-hearted man. First and above all, he loved God, he had a sweet spirit that was evident to all that truly knew him. Byron always said that he had a past that he wasn't proud of, but when he changed, he changed when he found Jesus. Every time his faith was tested, he said, trust the journey. He never met a stranger, and he was a teller of tales who loved to share a good laugh. Byron so loved spending time with and mentoring the grands and great grandchildren. He loved sharing time in nature and listening to the dogs run. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Ruby Green, brothers Harbin and Olin Green, and his sister Rebecca Hunter.

He is survived by the love of his life, Cathy Rampley Green; his children Mr. and Mrs. Jason Green, Jamie Grider ( Dana ) , Joshua Green, John Pope ( Summer ) , and Ben Pope ( Raven ); g randchildren, Jared Green ( Stephanie ) , Justin Green ( Brooke ) , Jaxon Green, Haley Crowe ( Bradley ), Jeb Simerly, Jon Grider, Ricky Grider, Isabella Green, James Leonard " Lenny" Green, Jordyn Pope , Carter Pope , Declan Pope, Riley Pope, Cayman Nicholson , Addy son Nicholson, and Wyatt Nicholson; great-grandchildren: Sara h Green, Jasper Simerly, and Jaylee Simerly; sisters and brother, Rosa Matthews, Martha Timms, June Satterwhite, Bobby Green, Nina Samples-Stanley, and Els ie Healy(Joe).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 10:30AM at Trinity Baptist Church, Cartersville with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Interment will follow Emerson City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Green, Justin Green, Jaxon Green, Jeb Simerly, Bradley Crowe, James Le on ard " Lenny" Green, Carter Pope, Declan Pope, Riley Pope, Wyatt Nicholson, and Jasper Simerly.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
