Beloved wife, devoted Mother and Grandmother, cherished sister and a community treasure, Candace Ann Peltier Antonio ended a life well lived on April 13, 2015. She joins family members who have gone before her: Parents, Mary Loretta McHugh and Roland Thomas Peltier, Sr. and brother, Roland Thomas (Mike) Peltier, Jr. Also remembered by the family is Aunt Zita Alice McHugh and Alice Gallagher McHugh (Ganga.)

Candy touched the lives of so many with her generosity, compassion, humor and loyalty. Not only will she be missed by her immediate and extended family but also her many friends.

Candy incorporated into her family life a love for: music, history, all things Italian and Irish, cooking, beach vacations, University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. With her quilt expertise, love of antiques and her puppies she led a full life indeed.

Candy was an active member of the Sans Souci Women's Club, Adairsville Downtown Development Authority, the Etowah Valley Historic Society – Preservation Member, Roselawn Museum board member, Friends of the Library and actively working to make historic Adairsville an active, preserved iconic downtown.

She is survived by her husband, Marion Domenic Antonio of Adairsville, GA; sons Michael and Monique Antonio of Cumming, Daniel and Kim Antonio of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Isabella and Domenic, Connor and Emma; sister, Margaret (Meg) Peltier of Gulf Breeze, FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law James and Elizabeth Antonio, Anthony and Margaret Skipper, Frank and Karen Antonio; and many nieces and nephews.

Thanks to everyone who's been an important part of Candy's life. There will be a family celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
