Mrs. Candace Leigh Childs Redd, age 34, of Griffin Road, Cartersville passed away on May 2, 2019, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Atlanta, GA on August 7, 1984, daughter of Linda Greene Childs Evans and the late Rodney Dwayne Childs. She was a member of Cartersville Church of the Covenant. Candace had worked as a cosmologist, in telecommunications, but most importantly a mom. She loved being a mom to her three children more than anything in this world. She cherished time spent with her family and friends. Everyone who knew her knew Candace never left the house without looking her best and was always fashionably late. She wrote beautiful poetry, enjoyed shopping, decorating, and the challenge of a DIY project. Candace was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Childs and grandparents, Leon and Dorothy Childs and Fredrick and Betty Greene.

Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Philip Redd; her precious children, Hayden Ray Wheat, Jayden Danae Redd, and Brayden Daniel Lee Redd; mother, Linda Evans; sisters, Crystal and Marshall Hollis and Carmen and Tyler Kruger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Diane Redd; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Ronnie Cline officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Marshall Hollis, Tyler Kruger, Perry Redd, Hunter Hollis, Chris Redd, Mark Blakeney, John Philip Redd, and Richard Peace.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
