Mrs. Cara Beth (King) Goforth, age 62, of Adairsville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at AdventHealth Redmond.

Beth was born in Rome, Georgia, September 11, 1961, daughter of the late Clarence Billy King and Shelia Yvonne Bunch King. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Shelia Mae King, grandparents, C. E. and Bertha King and Herman and Willie Mae Bunch. Beth was a member of Adairsville Baptist Church. She was an honor graduate of Adairsville High School Class of 1979. She loved keeping in touch with her classmates and organized several nice reunions over the years. She was a dedicated member of the Adairsville Lions Club and several other civic groups. Beth spent many years enjoying the days of taking care of her parents in their senior years and helping her father with his business ventures. She enjoyed cooking new recipes but never strayed from a good southern dish. An avid music lover, she attended some of the greatest concerts of all time. She had a dry wit, big heart and caring ways. Beth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend.

Survivors include her loving husband, Michael Goforth; children, Joshua and Candace Byers and Jacob and Cherree Byers; granddaughters, Cara Ann Byers and Courtney Mae Byers; brother, Kent King; uncle, Timothy Bunch and Janie; aunt, Wanda Gardner and family; and her extended Goforth family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Entombment will be in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville at later date.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
