Mr. Carl Pinson, age 98, of Cartersville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Carl was born in Rome, Georgia, March 8, 1926, son of the late Isaac Pinson and Bertie Fields Blalock Pinson. He was also greeted in Heaven by his loving wife of 67 years, Sarah Jo Gruber Pinson; son-in-law, Thomas Smith; granddaughter, Allie Griner; sisters, Mildred Arnold and Nancy Jenkins; brothers, C. J. Pinson, Hutson Pinson, Hugh Pinson, Walter Pinson, and Charles Pinson.

Carl was a devoted member of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer and member of the Euharlee Farmers Club. Outside of farming cotton, soybeans, and livestock, Carl enjoyed planting and growing his garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, cherished by his family.

Survivors include his loving children, Randy Pinson (Pamela), Elaine Smith, and Carol Griner (David); grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Will Smith, Caleb Griner, Jacob Griner (Anda), and Isaac Griner; great-grandson, JD Griner; sister, Clarkie Pinson Grant (Bob); brothers, Alton Pinson (Bernice) and Marvin Pinson (Barbara) and many nieces and nephews

Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Raccoon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Black officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Raccoon Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall.
