Mr. Carl Donald West, age 81, of New Calhoun Road, Adairsville, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. West was born in Gordon County, Georgia, July 19, 1933, son of the late James Carl West and Pauline Ralston West. He was a member of Adairsville Church of God. Mr. West spent many years as an owner and operator of buying, selling, and working on cars. He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren and was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Burnette West; son, Rickey West; granddaughter, Menissa Manning; sisters, Geraldine Wyatt and Ouida McClure; brothers, Chester West, Harry West, and Vernon West.

Survivors include his 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Eddie Manning of Plainville, Deborah and Lanny Wilson of Adairsville, and Cheryl and Danny Moore of Adairsville; 8 grandchildren, Jason Manning, Celena Miller, Kevin Manning, Glenn Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Christy West, Heather Minor, and Austin Moore; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Victoria Jackson of Adairsville and Janelle Camp of Rome; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, at 2:00 PM at Adairsville Church of God with Pastor Ken Coomer officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Jamie Minor, David McClure, Larry West, Junior Jackson, Ronnie Hudson, and Ron Jackson will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
