Mrs. Carol Thornbrough Adams, age 84, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, February 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Adams was born in Adairsville, Georgia, June 9, 1938, to the late Bun and Hallie Hunt Thornbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Wesley Adams and brothers, Herbert Thornbrough and Donald Thornbrough. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Adairsville Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Adairsville San Souci Club and Queen Mother of The Red Hat Society Adairsville Chapter.  She was an accountant for Gordon Building Supply and Milton Stewart Company, Inc until retirement. Carol loved spending time with her family and watching the Atlanta Braves.

She is survived by her children, Deborah and Brian Thomas, Thornton Adams, and John Adams; granddaughter, Lauren and Thomas Maddox; brother, Lamar and Susan Thornbrough and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Eric Sorrell and Michael Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
