Obituary
Mrs. Carol Ann Knight, 79, of Firetower Road, Rome passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
She was born November 22, 1937 in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, daughter of the late Benjamin Vogt and Emily Kaltenbach Vogt. Mrs. Knight worked many of jobs but people will most remember her from Troy's BBQ. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Wendy Machtolff.
Survivors include her loving husband, Danny Knight of Rome; children, Mike (Menta) Knight of Rome, Brian (Fay) Knight of McMinnville, TN, Kelly (Mark) Cornwell of Atlanta, and Sharon (Quentin) Smith of Rome; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; dearest friend, Sue Osborne.
Honoring Mrs. Knight's wishes, the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
