Mrs. Carol Ann Lance, age 68, of Towe Chapel Road, Adairsville passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Kindred Hospital, Rome.

She was born in Edinburgh, Scotland November 22, 1945, daughter of the late James Andrew Elliot and Margaret Brown Elliot. Mrs. Lance was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Willard Edward Lance.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Derek Camp of Adairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Suzi Lance of Adairsville; devoted companion, Keith Golz of Calhoun; 4 grandchildren, Heather Paige Camp, Madison Blake Camp, Ryan Edward Lance, and Brett Elliot Lance; sister and brother-in-law, Saundra and Bill Smith of Austin, TX; brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Lance of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville. Rob Thurman, Kipp Champion, Danny Smith, Lance Smith, Richard Atkins, and Dylan Witt will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Barton Funeral Home, Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
