Obituary

Mrs. Carole Rowena Lockridge, 55, of Barnsley Gardens Road, Adairsville, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the residence.

Mrs. Lockridge was born in Moreton Pinkney, UK July 29, 1960, daughter of the late Bernard John Bodily and Barbara Sikes Bodily. Mrs. Lockridge was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, and loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Bodily; brother, Nathan Bodily; father-in-law, James Leonard Lockridge, Sr.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, James Lockridge, Jr. of Adairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Johnston of Adairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Kayla Lockridge of Calhoun; mother, Barbara Bodily of Greens Norton, England; grandchildren, Donavan, Ashleigh, Wyatt, and Dale; brothers, David Bodily of Manchester and Alistair Bodily of Banbury; mother-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Lockridge of Adairsville; brother-in-law, Danny Lockridge of Kingston; sister-in-law, Ginger and Bo Johnson of Adairsville; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Prince and Rev. Fred Buchannan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00PM until 1:00 PM. Pallbearers include Caney McStotts, Jim Karlovich, Roney McStotts, Ricky Coplin, Randy Kimsey, and Lance Kimsey.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
