Mrs. Carolyn Sue Rogers, age 70, of Mays Street, Adairsville, passed away Thursday morning June 22, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Gordon County, February 26, 1947, daughter of the late Earl J. and Dorothy Allen Ray. Mrs. Rogers was a member of New Life Ministries and was a retired school bus driver for the Bartow County School Systems. She loved being with her family, attending her grandchildren's school events, vacations in the Smokies, and cooking for her family. Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Ray; grandson, LCpl Seth Sharp.
Survivors include her loving husband, A.L. Rogers of Adairsville; children, Sabrina Rogers Horner of Adairsville, Shane and Donna Rogers of Adairsville, and Tiffany and Ric Sharp of Adairsville; grandchildren, Kenly and Brittany Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Bre Horner, Brooke Horner, Kaitlyn Greene, Taylor Greene; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Kellan Rogers; brothers, Farril and Christine Ray and Wayne and Diane Ray, both of Adairsville; sister, Ann and Tim Miller of Armuchee; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 2:00PM from New Life Ministries, Adairsville, with Rev. Steve Morrow, Rev. Randy Gulledge, and Rev. Audrey Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be John Miller, Jason Miller, Kenly Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Tony Ray, and Wes Pace.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
