Obituary
Mrs. Cathy Mauldin Barron, 65, of Long Road, Rydal passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at the residence.
Mrs. Barron was born in Cartersville, Georgia, November 9, 1949, daughter of the late William Clyde Mauldin and Ruby Amos Mauldin. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Wade and special friend, Lee McCrory and Erica LaPorte and fiancé, Jeff Thurman; sons, Lamar and Charmin LaPorte and Daniel LaPorte and fiancée, Brandi Smith; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny Mauldin, Dennis and Alice Mauldin, and Donald and Tammy Mauldin; her first husband and father of her children, Larry LaPorte and second husband, Gerald Barron; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Rydal. Pallbearers include William Long, Austin Long, Dustin Tordrup, Noah LaPorte, Billy Mauldin, and Wayne Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Smith and Dakota Brown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville
