Mrs. Charlene Walraven Smith, age 80, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully January 19, 2024.

Charlene was born in Curryville, GA, March 15, 1943, daughter of the late Charlie Ralph Walraven and Vernist Lee White Walraven. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin G. Smith; sons, Jeffrey Smith and Ricky Smith; and brother, Leon White (Mary). She was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville. Mrs. Smith had worked as a seamstress and was an avid reader enjoyed quilting and cooking, and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Smith, Tony and Alice Smith, and Marty and Jackie Smith; grandchildren, Amber Smith, Ashley Blevins (Johnathon), Shanna Smith (Keith), Cody Smith (Kaitlyn), Angel Smith (Tyler) and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Wyatt, Jessalyn, Zoe, Mazie, Jolene, Oaklee, and Eleanor Mae; sisters, Martha Justus (Jerry), Judy McDowell, and Bonnie Hines (Wayne); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 3:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Charlene's family will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
