Mr. Charles Lewis Blalock, age 60, of Scarlett Court, Calhoun, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at the residence.

He was born in Oak Ridge, TN, June 17, 1954, son of the late Arthur Lewis Blalock and Zella Goodman Blalock. Mr. Blalock was an active member at Adairsville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved being with his family and was passionate about spreading the word of the Bible. He enjoyed restoring old cars, golfing and gardening. Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Stephanie Blalock Verstynen; brother, Richard F. Blalock.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Blalock of Calhoun; step-sons, Justin Shurtleff and Gabriel Shurtleff both of CA; grandson, Eli Jacob Verstynen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheila Duncan of Knoxville, TN, Sue and Jay Woodard of Wilson, NC, and Bridgette and Jim Goins of Harriman, TN; special cousin, Larry Moore; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 9, 2015, at 3:00 PM from the Adairsville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Minister Barry Adcock officiating. The family will also have a memorial service on January 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Oak Ridge, Tennessee with Minister Gordy Fritch officiating.
