Obituary

Mr. Charles Willis Cannon, age 85, of 357 Stovall Way, NW, Kennesaw, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Kennestone Wellstar Hospital, Marietta.

Mr. Cannon was born in Rome, GA, December 14, 1927, son of the late, Robert Paul and Ava Viola Hughes Cannon. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and later worked as a truck driver for Holsum Bakery, Chattanooga. An avid golfer, Mr. Cannon most enjoyed spending time on the golf course.

He is survived by his fiancé', Evelyn Taylor of Kennesaw; a daughter and son=in-law, Veda Lynnette (Kyle) Barner of Big Sky, MT; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Willis (Jane) Cannon of Adairsville and Tommy Eugene (Debra) Cannon of Rome; seven grandchildren, Kristi Rhodes, Shane Cannon, Nekia Cannon, Nekisha Cannon, Lee Cannon, Justin Cannon, and Kayla Cannon; eight great-grandchildren, Hillary Rhodes, Zane Rhodes, Halle Rhodes, Marissa Cannon, Gracie Cannon, Jackson Head, Ti'Berious Cannon, and Emma Cannon; and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul W. "Bud: (Sarah Jane) Cannon of Stone Mountain; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating.
