Mr. Charles Franklin Lee, III, better known as Pinky, age 79, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at his residence.
Pinky was born in Rome, GA, August 17, 1945, son of the late Charles Franklin Lee, Jr. and Vera Eskridge Lee. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years Elizabeth Childers Lee. Pinky was a veteran of the United States Army and member of the Kingston Masonic Lodge 394, he retired from CSX Rail Transportation as a conductor after 42 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Connesena Baptist Church. He also served as a sponsor at 619 Recovery in Cartersville. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed camping and mostly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved sons, Brian and Stephanie Lee and Marc and Melody Lee, Larry and Tammy Dallas, Tommy Dallas, Byron Dallas; grandchildren, Mason Lee (Raven), Hunter Lee, Victoria Lee(Dawson Adcock), Trenton Lee, Shayla Jones and Brittany Wright (Greg); great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Lee, Amerah Brown, Jayde Rosas, and Easton Jones; sister, Pamela Samples (Frank); brother, Michael Lee (Toni) and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Pinky's life will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Frank Samples and David Guthas officiating. Military honors will follow.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Charles Franklin Lee, III.
