Mr. Charles Ray Haney, Sr., age 71, of 639 Hall Station Road, Kingston, GA, passed away, July 1, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center, Rome.
Mr. Haney was born in Doraville, GA, on December 2, 1941, son of Ruby Inez Barrett and the late Raymond Francis Haney. Mr. Haney had retired from the Polk County Public Services Department where he was employed as a plumber for over twenty years. A loving father and husband, he loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cleveland Haney of Kingston, to whom he was married, October 6, 1961; his mother, Ruby Inez Barrett of Cumming; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Frances Haney of Adairsville, and Lisa and Robert Coursey of Adairsville; a son, Chuck Haney of Adairsville; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2013, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00PM.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Ray Haney.
