Obituary

Mr. Charles Lee Hight, age 78, of Pleasant Valley Road, Cartersville, passed away at his residence, March 1, 2016.

He was born in Calhoun, GA, July 24, 1937, son of the late Charlie Lee Hight and Lucille Baggett Hight. He was a member and deacon of Clear Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hight is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Hight and Delmar Hight.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, June Hight of Cartersville; daughter, Junia and Scott Duvall of Cartersville; son, Chuck and Wylinda Hight of Cartersville; grandchildren, Tiffanie Duvall, Luke Holcomb, Chaz Hight, Britt Hight, Keyotta Atwater, Keturah Redding, and Carlis Franks; sister, Mattie and Bobby Langley of Adairsville; sister-in-law, Elaine Hight of Cartersville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Summey, Rev. Joseph Hyde, and Rev. Ovell Nation officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Luke Holcomb, Carlis Franks, Chaz Hight, Greg Hight, Rocky Dutton, Eric Langley, Jackson Hyde, and Noah Dutton. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
