Mr. Charles Hubert "Nook" Jenkins, 74, of Raymond Jenkins Road, Kingston, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

He was born in Taylorsville, GA, November 18, 1939, son of the late Charles Raymond Jenkins and Mary Francis "Janie" Kell Jenkins. Nook enjoyed fishing, listening to his CB Radio, and going to the Dixie and Rome Speedways to watch his brothers, Arthur and Johnny and nephew, Don race. He attended Kingston Full Gospel Apostolic Church in Kingston and also CanaanLand Christian Center in Adairsville. Nook never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Ralph Jenkins, Hugh Dennis Jenkins, and Johnny Mitchell Jenkins; sister, Evelyn Jenkins Maynor.

Survivors include a sister, Cora Bessie Jenkins of Kingston; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Myra Jenkins of Adairsville; several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Saturday,
February 1, 2014, at 2:00 PM at CanaanLad Christian Center, Adairsville with Rev. Harold Dale, Rev. C.E. Wilkey, and Rev. Earl Wilkey officiating. He will be laid to rest with his parents at Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville. Pallbearers include Criss Evans, John Thomas Jenkins, Brandey Jenkins, Don Jenkins, Melvin Maynor, Jr, and Ben Maynor. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Pierce, Danny Pierce, Mitchell Jenkins, Ralph Childers, and Greg Crowe.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
