Mr. Charles Kenneth Jackson, 75, of Woody Road, SW, Adairsville, passed away Monday evening, December 23, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gordon County, GA, May 24, 1938, son of the late Charlie Burnell Jackson and Katherine Sutton Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Adairsville Church of Christ and had retired from the City of Adairsville. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, fishing, and hunting but mostly he loved being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie Jackson; sister, Barbara Mealer.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hilda Jackson of Adairsville; 2 children, Steve and Melissa Jackson of Adairsville and Misty Baker of Adairsville; 4 grandchildren, Kandi and Sam Cash, Colt Jackson, Holly and Alex Coker, and Sawyer Jackson; 4 great-grandchildren, Gracie and Charlie Cash, Cade Baker, and Addialyn Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Lonzo Hicks; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Min. Steve McCaslin officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Randy Jackson, Danny Mealer, Donnie Mealer, Mike Wright, Mitchell Wright, Mark Wright, and Matt Wright.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
