Mr. Charles William Johnston, age 76 , of Adairsville passed away Sun day, February 26 , 2023, surrounded by the family he loved.

Charles was born in Rome , Georgia, January 2, 1947 , son of the late James Clifton Johnston and Dorothy Lucile Osteen Johnston Mr. Johnston is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine McCory Johnston and brother, Robert Johnston. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends and being outdoors riding his motorcycle or on the boat fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his children, Angie Dickerson (Ron), Christie Hutchins(Richard), Chad Martin(Rhonda), Jason Johnston, Susie Johnston , and Charles William "Chuck" Johnston, II; grandchildren, Ronda Graham, Dwayne Dickerson(Britany), Kristin Tankersley, Whitley Norton(Jeremy), Charles Ta-Li Martin(Tiffan e y), Tiffany Howerton(Brandon), Amber Shaffer , Anna Broach , Chase Johnston (Casey) , McK e nna Johnston, and Richlan Hutchins ; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Johnston and Walter Johnston (Brenda) ; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednes day, March 1 , 2023, at 3 :00PM in Silver Hill Church Cemetery, Summerville with Reverend Steven Pearson officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Charles William Johnston.
