Mr. Charles Melvin Parker, 46, of Adairsville passed away Saturday (January 14, 2017) at Columbus Hospice House.
He was born in Cartersville, May 18, 1970, son of Charles Clifton Parker and the late Nennie Faye Hall. Mr. Parker was a member of Pleasant Valley Full Bible Church. He loved being with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding horse, and fishing. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his children, Brandi Parker of Calhoun, Charles (Bambi) Parker, Jr of Plainville, Christopher (Brittany) Parker of Calhoun; father, Charles Clifton Parker of Plainville; grandchildren, Bailey, Jayger, Emma, Bentley, Iris, Matthew, Kindyll, Ethan, and Jailynn; siblings, Michelle (Rusty) Law of Columbus, Clifton (Opal) Parker of Adairsville, Jessie James of Adairsville, Jeff (Liz) James of LaGrange, Dustin and Saundra Hogue of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Carey Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Full Bible Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will include Chris Payne, Jessie James, Jeffery James, Charles Wright, Billy Joe Rogers, Terry Hambrick, Burnen Hall, and James Parker, Jr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to his sister, Michelle Law, to help with funeral expenses.
