Mr. Charles Leonard Poole, age 60, of White passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Atlanta, GA, May 15, 1959, son of the late Wilton Murphy Poole, Sr and Geraldine Bowen Poole. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. After retiring he enjoyed spending his time with family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his stepson, Jackie Peters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Poole; children, Darlene Poole, Nissy Poole, and Kimberly Poole; grandchildren whom he was raising as his own, Amya, Faith, and Adrian Arnold; stepsons, Tim (Johnnie) Peters and Tyler (Pricilla) Peters; brother, Murphy (Sherry) Poole; sister, Marian (Albert) Craig;  sister-in-law, Katie (Mike) May; brother-in-law, Roger Dye; 18 grandchildren and several aunts, uncle, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Gregg Free officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Creek Church Cemetery, Adairsville. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Pallbearers include Tim Peters, Tyler Peters, Mile Ralston, Brandon Schooley, Eric Riseden, Jeff Worth, Doug Holloway, and Bobby Begley. Honorary pallbearers include his grandchildren and the members of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
