Mr. Charles Dan Shaw, age 83, of Rock Fence Road, Adairsville, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Winthrop Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Kingston, GA, on May 24, 1934, son of the late Thomas Lee Shaw and Edna Burnette Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 43 years from Gaylord Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances (Don) Stillson, Elizabeth (Frank) Bene, and Patricia (Earnest) Jowers.

Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Viola Shaw of Adairsville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Stacey Nicholson officiating.   Interment will follow in Connesena Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingston. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
