Mr. Charles "Dean" Sutton, 52, of 9 Pleasant Run Drive, Adairsville passed away Friday (November 8, 2013) at the residence

Mr. Sutton was born in Rome, Georgia, November 7, 1961, son of Fay Berrong Sutton and the late Charles Hilton Sutton. Mr. Sutton was a devoted member of Adairsville Church of Christ and beloved song leader. He enjoyed all aspects of softball, baseball, basketball, and football, from playing and coaching to just being a fan. He loved mowing his grass, a lifelong University of Georgia fan, and never missed a Sunday afternoon nap, but most recently he really enjoyed being a new grandfather. Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Doyle and Connie Sutton and Claude and Ellie Berrong; uncles, Melvin Sutton and Ray Berrong; aunts, Beatrice Abernathy and Elsie Lee Frix.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Shawn Sutton of Adairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Mallary and Michael Norton of Adairsville; son, Tyler Sutton and Autumn Lang of Calhoun; grandson, Ashton Michael Norton; mother, Fay Sutton of Adairsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina and Thomas Blome of Adairsville and Sabrina and Eric Swanson of Adairsville; aunts and uncles, Gene and Dorothy Sutton of Calhoun, Pat and Butch Wilson of Panama City, FL, James and Bobbie Jean Abernathy of Acworth and Charles and Florence Berrong of Cartersville; nieces and nephews, Brett and Ashley Blome, Celia Blome, Brandon Blome, Landon Swanson, Cooper Swanson, Eli Swanson, and Ethan Blome.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Adairsville Church of Christ, with Min. Steve McCaslin, Min. Rick Lawson, and Min. Bobby Gayton officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Terry Woodring, Steve Jackson, David Young, Timmy Spires, Kevin Sutton, Jody Elrod, Ravee Morrow, Steve Morrow, Kerry Smith and Eric Helton.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made at Northside Bank in his honor.
