Mr. Charles V. Barton, age 93, of White, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at AdventHealth Gordon.

He was born in Bartow County, May 14, 1929, son of the late Collin Mitchell Barton and Emma Barton.  He was a member of Canaanland Christian Center and retired from Bartow County School System. Charles enjoyed being outdoors turkey and racoon hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and mother of his daughter, Bernice E. Barton; wife, Ione Bennett-Barton; sisters, Nancy Blin Barton and Peggy Louise Thurman.

Survivors include his daughter, Frances Ernestine Williams and a son-in-law, Michael Gene Williams, special sister-in-law, Tina McClure; special nieces, Lisa McClure Hice and Mary Jane McDaniel (Edward); good friend, Jean Satterfield; hunting buddies, Glenn Wallace and Jimmy Cornwell; special loving kitty, Tiger Barton and several great nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 2:30 pm at Pine Log United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lamar Long officiating.  Pallbearers will be Arthur Jenkins, Glenn Wallace, Tim Reed, and Bill Ledford.
