Mr. Christopher "Chris" Edwin Smith, age 52, of Douglasville passed away unexpectedly January 18, 2021.

He was born October 25, 1968, in Atlanta Georgia to the late Bennie Edwin Smith and Miriam Jarrett Smith. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. Chris had a kind and generous heart that was always willing to help others. His keen sense of humor always brought laughter to a room. Chris's love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and NASCAR Racing mimicked his free spirited ways. He will be truly missed by those who knew him. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leslie Smith; and nephew Thomas Yow.

Chris is survived by his sisters, Sheryl Ramsden, Paula and Ray Catoe, and Patricia and Terry Yow; nieces and nephews, Tiffany and Brian Goldstein, Phillip "PJ" Ramsden, Kelly and Jeremiah Newton, Keri and Jeff Hughes, Kasey and David Levan, Lee and Michelle Catoe, Shawn Catoe, and Angus Childers; Several great nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Chris's Life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM  at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of the service.

Family and friends attending services will be required to wear face mask and observe social distancing.
