Obituary

Christopher Jack Parker, age 38, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 8, 2025. Chris was born in Rome, GA, February 26, 1987, son of Lynn Pratt Ghorley and the late Douglas Parker. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Doug Ghorley, grandparents, Jack Pratt and Ronald and Juanita Parker.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Lynn Pratt Ghorley; brother, Justin Parker; grandparents, Mary Pratt and Linda Holcomb (Ray); several stepsiblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

He enjoyed painting, working with computers, small engine repair, loved flowers and gardening. Chris was a tremendous help to his mother and Grannie Mary. Chris was very tender-hearted and would help anyone he could. He would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was his last shirt. He loved animals and was always rescuing strays. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Pastor Shae Satterfield officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will Jeremy Ramsey, Jermaine Bradley, Joey Grice, Jeremy Pharis, Tony Gunn and Danny Cursi. Honorary pallbearer will be Alfie Harris.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Christopher Jack Parker.
