Mr. Clifford Lavada Johnson, 61, of Bailey Road, Adairsville passed away Sunday (November 3, 2013) at Summit Health and Rehabilitations, Rome.
Mr. Johnson was born in Cartersville, Georgia, May 9, 1952, son of the late Wesley and Ida Ruth Johnson. Mr. Johnson enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Ruth Johnson of Adairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Shannon Johnson of Adairsville; a daughter and son-in-law, LaVonda and Cory Driver of OK; 3 grandchildren, Chance, Bailey and Cameron Johnson; 4 sisters and brother-in-law, Jean Shepard of Senoia, Kathy and Mike Bramlett of White, Faye Floyd of Cassville, and Dale Hurley of Dallas ; uncle, W. O. Johnson of White; mother-in-law, Nannie Lou Bailey of Adairsville; 2 sister-in-law, Eda Braden of Adairsville and Nancy and Calvin Howell of Adairsville; brother-in-law, Randy and Judy Bailey of Austell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Gary Hibberts, Rev. Adam Toole, and Rev. Shane Bramlett officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville. Pallbearers include Ricky Howell, Kerry Howell, Bobby Johnson, Curt Johnson, Junior Johnson, and Christian Hatch. Honorary pallbearers include Greg Vencent, Wess Hogue, and Jimmy Evans.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
